Fawad Chaudhry asks opposition parties to return 'stolen' money or go to jail

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry addressing the opposition parties on Saturday asked them to return the stolen money or head to jail.
Talking to the media in the federal capital, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader retorted to Leader of Opposition in Punjab Hamza Shehbaz and asked him to surrender before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) instead of hiding in his basement and using the law as a shield.
Moreover, he stated that given Hamza’s noncooperation continues, other federal institutions will be coming to NAB’s assistance.
He further stated that it is essential for the PML-N leader to present himself before the bureau as they were unable to arrest him today as he used women to shield himself.
Furthermore, he asserted that there is a chance of Hamza owning assets worth Rs85 billion outside the country.
Addressing the statement by the Council of Islamic Ideology who declared handcuffing people ‘un-Islamic’, Fawad stated that thousands of poor people are handcuffed on a daily basis adding that the practice is being termed ‘un-Islamic’ as rich people are heading to jails in this instance.
